The Spoon River CEO team completed their final business visit of the semester at The Simple Things LLC in Farmington, IL. Owner Kristen Emmons was an incredible host, generously sharing a wealth of entrepreneurial knowledge and insight with our students. To make the visit even more special, Kristen gifted each student a handmade CEO Christmas ornament that will be cherished for years to come!

✨ A fun full-circle moment — Kristen is also the mother of Bailey Emmons, a current Spoon River CEO student and young entrepreneur who owns not one, but two food truck businesses: What’s Shakin’ and What’s Brewin’. Entrepreneurial spirit clearly runs in the family!
