Banking, Berries & Besties

Last week, Spoon River CEO students visited Jenna Spotloe at Prairie State Bank & Trust in Lewistown, IL. While the bank’s services and history were the core focuses of the conversation, students could tell that Jenna’s business experience also takes place outside of the bank. With a history in retail management and her own family’s berry business, Spotloe Farms, there was interesting information for everyone!

For program facilitator Payton Arnett, the visit was even more special. Payton has been friends with Jenna since elementary school, and the two even became college roommates. Seeing that longtime friendship come full-circle as Jenna shared her professional experiences with her students was especially meaningful!

Connections such as these are what the CEO program in communities such as ours hopes to foster for all its graduates someday.
