DISC Day Discoveries π§
Spoon River CEO students hosted Amanda Atchley, Director of Operations for Black Maple Coffee and Vice Chair of our Spoon River CEO board, as a guest speaker on Monday. While Amanda shared her background and incredible advice, she also led the conversation for our Disc Day Review, where students made a lot of interesting discoveries about themselves and their peers!
DISC is an assessment tool designed to help individuals better understand their own communication and behavioral styles, while also recognizing that the people around them may approach situations very differently. Amanda helped students explore the four DISC styles and discussed how their individual strengths, tendencies, and communication preferences can influence the way they work with others.
This conversation was a perfect way to prepare for some intense collaboration on the horizon, as students prepare their Class Business ideas!
